This week, Sadie and I talk about making art, dancing, and moving forward by being still.

Sadie is a dancer, performance artist, and teacher born and raised in the DC/Metropolitan Area. In 2011, Sadie stumbled into a life-changing love affair with Pointless Theatre Company. As a company member, she's worn a variety of hats ranging from dancer to puppeteer to choreographer to assistant director. Sadie is also delighted and honored to dance as a company member with Heart Stück Bernie. She's also had the privilege of dancing with several fantastic local companies and choreographers, including Contradiction Dance, Kiera Hart-Mendoza, UpRooted Dance, Claire Alrich, and Stephanie Miracle. Her choreography, "Precious Moment," debuted as part of the inaugural Kitchen Sink Festival at Dance Place, and she recently directed, choreographed, and performed in the music video "Taliesin," for indie band, Humble Fire.

As a life long lover, performer, and maker of dance, Sadie has always found her bliss in the heat, strength, and mobility that comes from focused physicality. She brings this purposeful playfulness into her "day job" as a yoga teacher at several studios in Washington, DC.

Learn more about Sadie on Facebook, and follow her on instagram @sadieleigh_danceyoga.

Check out Sadie's next performance - dancing with Heart Stück Bernie as part of VelocityDC Dance Festival on Oct 6 and 7.

I sit down with Kyle, to talk about history, facing bias, and learning from our past.

Kyle is currently the Public Programs Administrator at Historic London Town and Gardens, an eighteenth century seaport museum just south of Annapolis, Maryland. He specializes in eighteenth century maritime culture and the transatlantic trade, both of which are the subjects of his blog British Tars: 1740-1790.

She is a member of the Washington DC Area Film Critics Association, a Tomatometer-approved criticon Rotten Tomatoes, is the movie reviewer for family magazine ChesapeakeFamily.com, and shares her opinions, judgments, rants, and raves at RoxanaHadadi.com and at @roxana_hadadi

This week Aaron and I sit down to talk about about dungeons and dragons, urban planning, and late stage capitalism.

Aaron Goldbeck received his Bachelor of Arts from Earlham College with a major in Philosophy in 2010.  He spent the next five years wandering the world as a bike and Segway tour guide before settling in Washington, D.C. and earning his Masters in Community Planning from the University of Maryland in 2017.  He now works for the University of Maryland's Department of Transportation Services as Campus Bike Coordinator, desperately trying to convince faculty and staff not to drive to work and undergraduates to wear helmets.  His interests include bikes, board games, and bourbon.
